The Location

For years we struggled to find a place that could match our expectations of a beautiful, private hideaway. Nothing met our expectations, until we discovered Crystal Lake, a picture perfect alpine lake set deep in the mountains of British Columbia. We spent countless hours learning the wind, ways and microclimates of the shoreline, and then picked the most idyllic spot on the lake. In 2004/2005, logs were cut, foot and bicycle paths were created, and the main cabin and tent decks were constructed; all surrounded by an intoxicating beauty. The fruits of our labour are now yours to enjoy with the added bonus of creature comforts and amenities.

The Camp

Imagine stepping out of the wood-fired sauna, plunging into the cool clear lake and then sitting on the patio sipping a drink as the sun falls behind towering peaks with glaciers hanging off their flanks. After a day of adventure, enjoy some time in the wood-fired, lakeside sauna. At night, retire to your luxurious and private safari-style walled tent with lake-filled views. Delight in the spectacular quite surroundings from your personal deck or snuggle into your hand hewn log bed outfitted with a cozy duvet and plump pillows.

The Experience

Each day our camp's expert guides lead you on inspiring adventures including a variety of hikes (e.g. climbing Mt. McClure), biking, kayaking, canoeing, bird and animal watching, fishing or just relaxing. While back at camp our chef prepares culinary delights for your return.
